Renzo Colombo, (Italian 1856-1885)
Modelled as an oriental woman, rendered in a free-spirited way with strong features such as a very defined nose and jawline, her hair loosely tied in a ribbon adding the free impact as well as her light garment coming down accidentally revealing one of her breasts; with a jewelled front, signed to one side 'R. Colombo' and the other 'Paris 1884', raised on a circular rotating griotte marble base
