This stunning and exceptional quality marble sculpture depicts a young maiden resting on an ornate classical upholstered daybed with finely carved woodwork style legs. This beautiful sculpture would have most likely been a Grand Tour piece, but does not appear to be signed. This wonderful work would make an outstanding focal point for a wide range of rooms and settings, both traditional and contemporary.
