This exceptional object is carved from several different types of alabaster. It comes in several parts, the lamp sitting on the cylindrical column.
The beauty standing beneath the lamp in made and white alabaster, the one "posted" into the other, with the lamp rising beside her to a shade of a more translucent alabaster.
