Rosewood Secretaire Chest

DSCI3905.JPG

This handsome chest of drawers in rosewood is Victorian, C.1850.
It is constructed in semblance of a wellington chest, but without the locking flat. It presents a front of seven graduated drawers, the top two being dummies and falling down to become a writing surface, leathered in green with birchwood drawers and pigeon holes behind.
