This is one of a pair of wall mirrors mounted with lighting brackets. The frames are bronze, with original gilding, the plates are original also, as are the metal back plates.
They were made in England, C.1860, in the French style and have three candle arms which were converted to electricity. The original electrical fittings have been removed, so that they may once again take candles, but re-wiring would not present any problem.
