This pair of ormolu four light candelabra were made in France C.1860 and are of exceptional quality. They are Louis XV style, with scrolled bases supporting three swept legs with hooved feet above which are scrolled and draped arms with foliate detail. The tight form of these lovely objects makes them very suitable for a mantlepiece where a wider arm might present the problem of scorching should the candles be lit.
