This splendid example of a Napoleon III cave-a-licqueur is French, C.1860.
It is quarter-veneered throughout in kingwood, with ormolu mounts and painted porcelain plaques to the top and front.
It opens to offer a tray with four decanters and twelve glasses, all delicately decorated with floral etching, even on the tops of the stoppers.
