This stylish lamp base was made by Minton in the style of Louis XVI.
Its "Bleu Celeste" ground and the finely painted floral decoration, along with the gilding and the monogram evoke the taste of Marie Antoinette. It is decorated "in the round" and has been newly re-wired.
