This handsome single drawer writing table is English, in the French style, and was made C.1860. It is in burr walnut, quarter-veneered, and has a floral marquetry panel to the centre. This panel is executed in various fruitwoods on an ebony ground. The whole is crossbanded in kingwood and ormolu mounted and stands on elegant cabriole legs.
