Important Pair of Bronze Candelabra

This large and impressive pair of candelabra comes from France, C.1850. They are gilt bronze and patinated bronze. They present a pair of naked putti holding aloft shallow oval vases from which issue three large and beautifully modelled rose branches terminating with candle holders fashioned as roses in full bloom. The putti themselves stand on pink marble drums above square marble bases.The drums are decorated with finely cast floral swags and have laurel leaf motifs ringing them above the bases.
