A French art Deco bronze and onyx lamp by Duvernet

'Oblivion' by Georges Duvernet (1870-1955)
Designed as a cold painted gilt-bronze crouching 20s dancer holding a light with an ormolu flame in her hands, raised in the centre of a circular onyx base. Signed at the base of the bronze.
Duvernet is well known for his 20s and 30s bronze sculptures. His main subjects were dancers and athletes, his most famous works being the 'Dancer with three rings' and 'Oblivion'.
