Fine 19th century French marquetry table


This table has extensive marquetry to the top in various exotic woods, surrounded by a mahogany and ormolu border. Each end can be folded down to make the table rectangular, with concave corners. There is a concealed drawer to the frieze on one side, both sides are decorated with ormolu and marquetry so the table can be displayed in the centre of a room. On fluted tapered legs with ormolu mounts to the legs, feet and stretcher.
