The standard of the beautiful and plentiful floral marquetry is wonderful, it retains all the original delicate pen-work also.
The decoration, all within satinwood cross-banding, is laid down on pommel, or "plum-pudding" mahogany, a very expensive and exclusive material.
The form of the piece, convex drawers flanked by concave doors is typical of their Sheraton-revival work.
This piece is presently in an untouched condition, retaining all its original polish and patina.
