19th Century Italian Marble Sculpture Of A Nymph By C Pittaluga


A well carved marble sculpture of standing Nymph lady. Both arms are raised and holding flowers beside her head, a thin veil dresses her body.
Signed to the base C Pittaluga Firenze.
Pittaluga was strongly influenced by the beauty and classical ideals of Greek mythology. This sculpture is a fine example of that, the nymph showing great purity.
