A 19th century burr walnut jardiniere with Wedgwood plaques


This attractive jardinieres lid has amboyna banding and two small bronze handles to reveal the removable brass liner. The frieze is inlaid with hearts and branches, each corner is mounted with a pale blue wedgwood plaque in a bronze wreath. Below ebonised capitals top the legs which have inlay to simulate fluting, standing on ebonised feet. The shaped stretchers meet in the middle with an ebonised finial.
