It is a combination of display and a central music cabinet.
It is burr walnut inlaid with boxwood, the supports being turned and carved walnut.

Bronze and Marble Coupes

These coupes, with their shallow patinated bowls and gilded handles and stems, come from France and were made in about 1860.
