Lighting
Alabaster Light
This large urn was in fact made as a light, having a bulb inside the base. It is made of translucent white alabaster (with natural markings) and is in two parts, deviding above the fluting.
Pair of Lamps
This pair of pate-sur-pate lampbases are French, late 19th century and were most probably oil lamp bases originally. They depict waterbirds in white on a celedon ground.
A Pair of Carved Alabaster Lamps
This charming pair of lamps is French, from the start of the 20th century. Carved from alabaster, they represent a girl playing with a kitten and a boy quietly reading.
Bronze Ice Skater Lamp Bases
These charming lamp bases are bronze, on marble drums.
They present a chubby little boy and girl skating, one leg held out behind and cloak flying. They are French, from the end of the 19th century.
