This Victorian lamp table is amboyna, inlaid with ebony and was made in about 1860. amboyna, from the Spice Islands, is a rare wood usually used in trimming other pieces.

Inlaid Edwardian Commode
This mahogany commode is English, C.1890. Two doors beneath two drawers are decorated with fine marquetry, delicately penned. The top and sides are similarly decorated, and it stands on spade feet.
Inlaid Mahogany Vitrine Table
This vitrine table, with its delicate marquetry decoration, is Edwardian, C.1890. Oval in shape, it has an elegantly decorated undertier between its tapering legs and swept feet.

This Vernis Martin cabinet, so called because of the paintings that decorate the lower panels, was made in France towards the end of 19th century.
